Our Rubber Process Oils (RPOs) are produced from crude oil after the removal of lighter hydrocarbons, such as gasoline and heating oil, through distillation. These RPOs are used as processing oils in the manufacturing of various rubber products during the mixing of rubber. They improve processing efficiency, facilitate the incorporation of fillers as plasticizers, and serve as extenders.

RPOs offer flexibility, extend product lifespan by reducing wear and tear, increase resistance to heat, oxidation, and environmental factors, are cost-effective, reduce energy consumption, and are REACH compliant, making them environmentally friendly.

They are categorized into three basic groups based on the arrangement of the carbon atoms within them:

Rubber Process Oil (Aromatic)

This aromatic base of rubber process oil is formulated with specifications including high levels of aromatic compounds, it is dark in colour. It is widely used in the manufacturing of tyres, conveyor belts, hoses, and other industrial rubber products where colour is not a major concern. It is compatible with rubber polymers such as Natural Rubber (NR), Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR), and Polybutadiene Rubber (PBR).

Rubber Process Oil (Naphthenic)

This naphthenic base of rubber process oil composed with specifications mainly of naphthenic compounds, it has good colour stability, solubility, and thermal stability. It is widely used in the manufacturing of footwear, LPG tubes, hot water bags, and molded and extruded products. It is compatible with Natural Rubber (NR) and Polybutadiene Rubber (PBR).

Rubber Process Oil (Paraffinic)

This paraffinic base of rubber process oil made with specifications mostly of paraffinic compounds. This oil is lighter in colour and has a wider viscosity range. It is widely used in the production of whitewall tyres, rubber bands, and medical devices where colour is important. It is compatible with EPDM and Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber (IIR).
