WITCOAT ZINC CHROMATE RED OXIDE PRIMER

DESCRIPTION:

Witcoat Zinc Chromate Red Oxide Primer is a single component primer containing zinc chrome as a rust inhibiting pigment. It is formulated on a specially designed modified alkyd resin. The Primer exhibits a tough and hard coating resistant to abrasion, fresh and sea water. It has antirust protective properties and excellent durability with matt finish.

RECOMMENDED:

As a surface tolerant primer for the protection of steel & concrete in severely corrosive atmosphere. Strongly suggested as a priming coat for preventing corrosion in chemical plants and also in fertilizer plants, petrochemical complexes, dock installation , thermal power plants etc.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
Remove oil grease with suitable detergent solution; and other contaminants by high pressure fresh water hosing. Dust off residue.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS:
Apply only on a dry and clean surface, with a temperature above the dew point to avoid condensation.

SAFETY:
As a general rule, inhalation of solvent vapour or paint mist and contact of liquid paint with skin and eyes should be avoided. Forced ventilation should be provided when working with solvent borne coating in confined spaces or stagnant air. Even when ventilation is provided respiratory skin & eyes protection are always recommended when spraying. In addition, national local safety regulations should be followed.
